Edit Bio

Jason is a 2013 U23 World silver medalist and a 2012 Olympian. Jason surprised a lot of people, including himself, when he qualified for the 2012 Canadian Olympic Team at the age of 19. Making his Olympic debut, he placed 13th in the C1 200 metre. Only a year before placed fourth in the same event at Junior World Championships. In 2013 he won silver at the inaugural Under 23 World Championships on Canadian water in Welland, ON.

Jason started paddling as a youngster at Banook Canoe Club and showed promise as a canoer. He also played hockey competitively but there was something about growing up in a paddling hub like Dartmouth, NS that pushed Jason to make canoeing his primary focus.
