OTTAWA, ON — [July 16, 2025] — Canoe Kayak Canada (CKC) is proud to announce the athletes nominated to represent Canada at the 2025 Canoe Sprint World Championships, Paracanoe World Championships, U23 and Junior Canoe Sprint World Championships, the Junior Pan American Games, and the Olympic Hopes Regatta.
These elite and emerging athletes will compete internationally throughout the summer and early fall, highlighting the strength and depth of Canada’s paddling talent developed across the country.
The 2025 ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships will take place in Milan, Italy from August 20–24, featuring Canada’s top senior and Para athletes. CKC will also send strong delegations to the Junior and U23 World Championships in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal (July 23–27), the Junior Pan American Games in Asuncion, Paraguay (August 9–23), and the Olympic Hopes Regatta in Račice, Czechia (September 18–21).
“This year’s team trials highlighted the outstanding depth and development in our community across the country, with athletes nominated from coast to coast,” said Ian Mortimer, Chief Technical Officer at CKC. “We’re excited to support these athletes as they take on the world stage and continue to grow toward future international success.”

For the Junior Pan American Games team, prior to being named to Team Canada, all nominations are subject to approval by the Canadian Olympic Committee following its receipt of nominations by all National Sport Organizations.
