Since then, Michelle’s paddling career has been on a steep incline. She is the 2013 Under 23 World Champion in K1 200 and also won a bronze medal in the K1 500 at the Championships in Welland to be Canada’s only double-medalist on home water. 2012 was her first World Cup tour where she took home a bronze in K1 200 relay.

Michelle has become one of Canada’s best women’s K1 paddler. She has won multiple national team trials, and represented Canada at several Senior World Championships. She is known to be a hard worker, and to always be pushing her limits.

In her spare time, Michelle loves to read and usually has a good book or two on the go.
