CKC Coaching Symposium & Leadership Summit Registration is now open for the CKC Summit!

Posted on: Oct 07, 2026

Join Canoe Kayak Canada in Ottawa this November for four days of connection, learning and collaboration as we bring together coaches, leaders and members of the paddling community to share ideas, celebrate our sport and help shape the future of canoe and kayak in Canada.

The theme of this year’s in-person Summit is “From First Strokes to Full Speed,” reflecting the many people, programs and communities that help paddlers progress at every stage of their journey, from getting on the water for the first time to reaching the highest levels of competition. The Summit is an opportunity to bring those people together, learn from one another, celebrate the work happening across our sport, and look toward what comes next.

The CKC Summit includes the Coaching Symposium (November 19–20) and Leadership Summit (November 21–22), with opportunities to register for either event or join us for both.

Coaching Symposium | November 19–20

The Coaching Symposium brings coaches from across Canada together for two days of learning, connection and professional development.

The program will feature:

  • Interactive workshops and learning sessions
  • Guest speakers and a panel discussion
  • Hands-on practical coaching
  • Opportunities to share ideas and experiences
  • A Coach Celebration Dinner

Whether you’re introducing someone to their first strokes or supporting athletes preparing for international competition, the Symposium will offer practical tools, fresh perspectives and meaningful connections to help strengthen your coaching practice.

Registration: Each CKC member club or PTSO will be allocated 1 complementary Coach registration for all events on Thursday, November 19 and Friday, November 20. Additional registrations will be $200

Leadership Summit | November 21–22

The Leadership Summit brings together CKC members and leaders from across the paddling community for two days of collaboration, conversation and connection focused on the future of our sport.

The Summit will create opportunities to engage with CKC leadership, connect with fellow members and contribute to important conversations shaping canoe and kayak sport in Canada.

From the people on the water to the people helping guide the sport forward, this is an opportunity to come together, share perspectives and help build what’s next for canoe and kayak in Canada.

Registration: Each CKC member club or PTSO will be allocated 1 complementary Delegate registration for their President/Commodore/Lead for all events on Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22. Additional registrations will be $200.
