CKC is seeking qualified candidates to support upcoming international slalom projects during the 2026 competition season.
Coaching Positions
1) Slalom Olympic Hopes Academy Project Coach
- Positions: 2 Coaches
- Onsite Dates: June 25 – July 15
- Locations: Augsburg (GER), Krakow (POL)
- Target Group: Junior development athletes (12-18)
2) Junior World Championships Project Coach
- Positions: 1 Coach
- Event Location: Krakow, Poland
- Onsite Dates: June 15 – July 5
- Target Group: Junior National Team athletes
Core Coaching Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver daily on‑water and off‑water coaching aligned with athlete development objectives.
- Support technical, tactical, physical, and mental preparation of athletes for international racing.
- Competition execution and race‑day management support.
- Supervise athletes through all phases of travel, training, recovery, and competition.
- Providing driving and local transportation support for athletes during training and competition days as required.
- Contribute to a positive, safe, and athlete‑centered team environment consistent with CKC Safe Sport policies.
- Collaborate closely with the CKC High Performance staff and project coaches on planning, delivery, and review.
- Participate in staff meetings, briefings, and debriefs as required.
- Planning weekly training program with prioritization on technical and tactical skill development.
- Daily athlete monitoring, feedback, and video review.
- Supporting CKC Safe Sport expectations, athlete conduct standards, and team policies at all times.
- Support athlete independence and life‑skills development.
- Athlete equipment maintenance, logistics, and venue coordination assistance.
- Post‑project athlete feedback and reporting.
Chaperone Position
- Positions: 1 Chaperone
- Onsite Dates: June 25 – July 15
- Locations: Augsburg (GER), Krakow (POL)
- Target Group: Junior development athletes (12-18)
Core Chaperone Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervising athletes through all phases of international travel, training, and competition, ensuring safety, well‑being, and adherence to team standards.
- Providing driving and local transportation support for athletes during training and competition days as required.
- Supporting daily logistics, including accommodation routines and schedules.
- Assisting coaches in maintaining a positive, organized, and athlete-centered team environment.
- Nurturing productive and respectful relationships with athletes, coaches, and CKC High Performance staff.
- Participating in staff briefings, team meetings, and debriefs as required.
- Supporting CKC Safe Sport expectations, athlete conduct standards, and team policies at all times.
- Support athlete independence and life‑skills development.
- The Parent Chaperone role is supportive and supervisory in nature and does not include technical coaching or performance decision‑
- All duties are carried out under the leadership of CKC’s designated coaching staff.
Compensation
CKC will cover approved travel costs, accommodations, meals, uniform, and event accreditation. A daily honorarium will be provided to CKC designated coaches.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching or supporting canoe slalom athletes in development or high‑performance settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Completion of Safe Sport and background screening requirements.
- Availability for full international travel period.
