Webinar: Alignment 2.0
CKC has made significant strides in the past few years in modernizing many of the organization’s governance processes, including coming into compliance with the Canadian Not-for-profit Corporations Act, bringing the organization together under one Board of Directors with supporting governance committees and aligned policies. CKC is embarking on the next phase of this project – Alignment 2.0, which will build upon the work completed in the first phase to ensure the roles and responsibilities of the various Discipline Councils, Paddling Associations and Provincial Partners are positioned for success and the organization embodies leading practices in CKC’s governance structure. This webinar will highlight the work completed to date, an overview of the Alignment 2.0 project, and begin to gather input and information from the community of CKC to help inform this important project. CKC has engaged the support of Sport Law to facilitate and guide the Alignment 2.0 Project.

Webinar: CKC Safe Sport
CKC has signed an agreement to join Abuse-Free Sport, the new independent program to prevent and address maltreatment in sport. CKC and its stakeholders will have access to the services of the Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner (OSIC), which serves as the central hub of Abuse-Free Sport, following a transition period which will end no later than December 16, 2022. This webinar will review what this transition means for our CKC community.
Participants will be encouraged to ask questions or send questions in advance (email them to: krobins@canoekayak.ca) that we can address in this webinar. Participants will receive professional development points in their NCCP Locker account after the session.

Canoe Slalom and Extreme Slalom Officials Development Workshop
Let’s start running more races! Whitewater events require a lot from volunteers and technical officials to put on. This webinar aims to support the training and development of officials, coaches, event organizers, and volunteers that are interested in furthering their technical knowledge and understanding of judging rules and organization of slalom and extreme slalom events.
