Kingston to Ottawa

Starting from the Cataraqui Canoe Club, the race runs from Douglas Flubrer Park, Kingston to the Corktown Bridge by Parliament Hill in Ottawa along the Rideau River. Technical aspects are distance, many portages, lake, river and canal.  Water is deep and flat. Many portages and no whitewater. Suitable for intermediate to experienced paddlers.

The vision is simple, a great race that mostly caters to adventure racers for all types of non-fixed blade crafts from Kingston to Ottawa following the Rideau River, one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. The race is non-stop, but supported by pit crews along the route.
