CKC will host the Sprint and Slalom Competition Development workshop in an online format with webinars taking place throughout the fall and early winter. Coaches that are interested in participating in this workshop series are invited to apply by completing the application form below. Participation in all workshops is mandatory to receive credit for completion of training. A maximum of sixteen candidates will be selected for each stream, and applications must be received by end of day November 10, 2024. Priority will be given to coaches that satisfy the prerequisites and/or that are identified by their Provincial/Territorial Organization as potential 2025 Canada Games coaches. Selected coaches must prepare bring a 2-minute video clip of a club athlete’s kayak and canoe stroke technique to share and analyze their paddling technique.
| Online Workshop: | · You must have access to high-speed internet.
· You have a dedicated quiet space for the duration of the workshop. · If you reside at the same physical location as another coach that will be on this course, please ensure that you are in separate rooms, on separate computers, and please eliminate all background noise. · You must attend the full duration of all the workshops to receive credit for the module. · The online webinars will be facilitated in English and participants may ask questions and complete assignments in either French or English. |
