Andy Hill began Open Canoeing two days before Canadian Team Trials. 12 years of freestyle kayaking experience and 10 years of raft guiding made the switch to OC1 natural. Andy is also a member of the Canadian National Rafting team which competed at the 2013 World Rafting Championships in New Zealand. Andy’s team came 10th overall, but had an impressive silver medal finish in the sprint event. When Andy is not trying to do what ever he can to get on the river, he is a self-employed carpenter and a primary-care paramedic. Andy’s favourite spot in the world to paddle is Sturgeon Falls, Manitoba – you have to go there to understand.
