Katie has been kayaking since the age of thirteen, and has kayaked in many countries all over the world; US, Switzerland, Australia, Mexico, Chile and China and has competed at three World Championships to date. Currently making the National Team for forth time, training hard to compete at the World Championships on her home river in August 2015.
When she is not training, she is working towards a degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC and enjoying her time in the mountains. In the summers Katie also works as a whitewater raft guide on the Ottawa River, and a whitewater kayak instructor.
