Pierre-Luc started paddling at the age of 9 at the Otterburn Boating Club. He is the oldest of a family of five boys. He moved on to the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club in 2006 to train with Thomas Hall. In 2013, he moved to Dartmouth, NS to train with Jason McCoombs and Mark de Jonge.

His first international race occurred in 2005, when he was selected to represent Canada at the Junior World Championships. Since then, he has competed at many international regattas, from Pan American Championships to World Cups.

Pierre-Luc studied actuarial science at UQAM, and is now pursuing an MBA from the Sobey School of Business at Saint-Mary’s University.

Among other things, Pierre-Luc enjoys music, good food, and spending time with his friends and family.
